The Zingui is a dynamic display AAC device with an 8.4” touch screen an all day battery life but weighs only 1.08 kgs (2lbs 6 oz). It’s from the same folks who build the other portable multilingual marvel, the Tellus Smart – Jabbla .
Zingui comes in two versions: the basic version with digitized (recorded) speech, and the Plus version with both digitized speech and text-to-speech (synthesized): Realspeak (Nuance) or Bright-Speech (Acapela).
Its volume and sound quality is almost deafening. Program on the device with recorded speech in a just a few easy steps. Or with the plus version take advantage of word prediction, grammar based word morphology (tense changing of verbs, pluralizing nouns and more) and Jabbla’s exclusive multi-level function.
Just like its smaller cousin the Tellus Smart you can program on the device or on a computer with the included software. And if you know how to program the TSmart you know how to program the Zingui.
You can also use the great apps for Windows Mobile including the Media Player and specialized applications like Pocket Endeavor, the daily living support application.
We’re finalizing pricing with extended warranty options but the Zingui should be similar in price to the Tellus Smart – considerably less than other comparable 8” devices.
